Our Guardian Heroes

Our Guardian Heroes
By John A. Wilson

I'll admit they aren't perfect
But can you say that you are?
They drive around all day
In a very conspicuous way.

You think all they ever do
Is hassle the likes of you
You never stop to consider that it is
Because of some of the things you do.

It's true our streets aren't safe
There seems to be crime everywhere
But can you imagine what it would be
If they were not even there.

You are free to go about your life
And do what you wish to do
Confident that you are protected
By the heroes in khaki and blue.
